STUMP GRINDING
Stump grinding is the final step in the tree removal process. Leaving a tree stump not only distracts from the beauty of your landscape, but it can be detrimental to other trees in your landscape. The fungi that grow on decaying tree stumps can, in some cases, infect other landscape trees. Stump grinding can allow you to replant the area with seed, sod, or another tree or shrub. This is a much better alternative than looking at, and mowing around, a decaying stump for several years. The stump grinding chips may also be able to be used in another area of your landscape.
The tree stump is ground 6 to 8 inches below the surface depending on the clients need. You are left with a controlled pile of dirt and small chips (debris).The woodchips from the stump grinding may be able to be used in other areas of your landscape. Our stump grinder is small enough to go thru a 30 inch gate or opening, but large enough handle any size stump efficiently.

Additional charges may apply for circumstances including: chasing roots, going deeper than 6” under soil line, stumps taller than 6” above soil line, debris such as rocks or metal, disposing of woodchips, and going outside Lapeer, Genesee, Oakland and Macomb Counties.
