Horizen Hydroponics

HORIZEN Hydroponics was formed in July of 1999 after an industrial accident. During that recovery period John & Bridgette decided that working for themselves would be the route for them. In November of 1999 HHydro.com was started to serve the world and spread the word about Hydroponics Equipment and Soilless Gardening.

After much success and realizing the industry potential, Horizen Hydroponics opened a small retail location in Grand Rapids, Michigan in October of 2002. On a shoe string and a prayer, shelves were stocked with the finest plant fertilizers from around the world and the highest quality equipment used for controlled environmental agriculture. As time went, Horizen Hydroponics - Grand Rapids expanded into the next door space in 2004, a whopping 1,500 SQ. FT.!!! 2008 proved to be another year of growth for Horizen Hydroponics by moving across the parking lot into 2,400 sq. ft. Later in 2008 the people of Michigan voted for Medical Marijuana. The demand for equipment allowed Horizen Hydroponics to expand into the Kalamazoo market in the end of 2009. In 2010, J&B were fortunate enough to open a warehouse to allow for bulk buying and housing more inventory. The Grower's Outlet in Byron Center receives the majority of all the products that come and go from Horizen Hydroponics and HorizenHydroponics.com. The most recent store opening was in April of 2011 with Lansing becoming home to the fourth Horizen Hydroponics location.
