Hossein K. Nazari, M.D., Ph.D

Dr. Hossein Nazari is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon with over 20 years of expertise in treating complex retinal disorders, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachments. He completed his medical degree in Iran, followed by advanced training in vitreoretinal surgery and postdoctoral research at the Doheny Eye Institute and the University of Southern California. Dr. Nazari also holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience, focusing on retinal vascular biology.

An associate professor at the University of Minnesota, he has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and earned recognition as a “Minneapolis-St. Paul Top Doctor” for four consecutive years. Dr. Nazari is dedicated to innovative patient care, advancing retinal research, and training future specialists in ophthalmology.
