In Short
Considered a founding father of American casual dining, Houlihan's transformed its once-kitschy decor and meat-and-potatoes menu into a contemporary restaurant serving eclectic cuisine. Geared toward a slightly more… Read Full Editorial
Bad experience by DEe via Citysearch on 4/8/2012
I have been to a few other locations and its been good. I came here on lunch not too long ago and ordered sliders of vegetarian burgers. They were clearly burned and black on top, tasted awful. My server was sweet and asked why I didn't…
Great Late Food!! by MNPaintballer via Citysearch on 8/25/2008
Went here with a couple friends around 11. Menu was slightly expensive but the food made up for it. I was expecting the food to be a little cold, but it wasn't at all. I got the stuffed chicken breast and garlic mashed potatoes and it was…
Solidly Average by fireyram via Citysearch on 9/14/2007
I go here for lunch with my co-workers once in awhile and while it's a good place for that, I wouldn't go on my own time with friends/husband. The menu is extensive so maybe that is why nothing is that great. Everything I've had is good,…
Fun atmosphere, great happy hour by youngtcer via Citysearch on 11/18/2006
The last reviewer is right about the long waits (this is true for Friday nights as well as weekends) and the crowded bar. However, if you embrace this atmosphere, you'll end up making conversation with others as you wait for the bartender.…
I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table! by M. D via Insider Pages on 9/25/2005
I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table and I've gone at the typical busy times. The food is yummy and the service is excellent. Even the pricing is reasonable. Houlihans is one of my favorite restaurants. The…
desserts to die for by Kim D via Insider Pages on 7/10/2005
This is one of the few places that offer a selection of "small" desserts. They call them "yum yums" and are the perfect size. Normally we wouldn't have room for dessert, but these. My favorite is the creme brulee. The kid's love the…
Hit or Miss by harddrinkerguide via Citysearch on 1/23/2004
I've been going to this place since it opened. I was a regular during the late afternoons for almost two years. I loved it. Then suddenly with some manager changes and arbritrary firings of staff the place became a tomb. Give yourself…
Food is reliably good by dean_l via Citysearch on 10/15/2003
We eat will the parents all the time.
I hate ribs; but everyone else seems to like them.
The steaks are pretty good; especially for the price.
(especially better than Timberlodge; do they train
their cooks?)
I like the place, the…
Yuk. by Sturgeon46 via Citysearch on 3/21/2003
Staff has the personality of a vending machine. I had the ribs - bad choice. Slab of tasteless meat with a handfull of frenchfries - where's the coleslaw? With so many other dining choices, no need to go there again!
best eats in eagan by jodiej via Citysearch on 10/21/2002
My husband and I spent the weekend in Eagan just to get away for the weekend (from the kids!) AND WHAT A SURPRISE. We usually stay in downtown Minneapolis, but we wanted to get away from everything for a change. We usually despise…
