Feza H. Remzi, MD

An internationally recognized colorectal surgeon, Feza Remzi, MD is a leader in the surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other colorectal diseases. He specializes in the treatment of patients with complex colorectal conditions including ulcerative colitis, Crohn s Disease, diverticulitis, pelvic pouch procedures, sphincter-saving operations of the rectum, and re-operative abdominopelvic surgeries. Dr. Remzi has published over 300 peer- reviewed articles and book chapters on the surgical management of IBD, and ileal J-pouch. He has been recognized with several awards and honors, including being voted as one of the Castle Connolly and New York Magazine Top Doctors in New York. In 2010, he was honored with honorary fellowship/membership at the Annual National Surgical Congress in Turkey as the first recipient of this award from this society. A native of Turkey, Dr. Remzi earned his medical degree from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. He completed his general surgery residency and a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.
