In the early 1900s, working in the Salumerias of Little Italy, Pasquale “Patsy” Lancieri perfected New York Style Pizza.

In 1933, he opened the city’s first Pizzeria Restaurant, establishing himself as New York’s foremost pizza baker and inspiring scores of imitators.

Over 60 years later, Patsy’s Pizzerias still proudly serves his famous recipe of traditional New York Style Thin-Crust Brick Oven Pizza throughout the city and is regarded as one of New York’s Original Brick Oven Pizzerias.

Food poisoned by bk718 via Citysearch on 4/15/2010

I hate to write a bad review for Patsy's because I have had many good dinners there. But, I hope this review will do them a favor and help them to clean up their act before they lose too many more customers. For two people, we usually…

Listen to the manager's sexual escapades while you eat Pizza by LindaS via Citysearch on 4/12/2009

I went to Patsys Pizzeria on 60th Street with my girlfriends and was enjoying a wonderful dinner when, all of a sudden, we were all exposed to the manager (I found out his name was Cristo by the busboy) bragging about his sexual escapades…

One of the Best by Kim F via Insider Pages on 11/8/2008

Patsy's pizza offers one of the best thin crust, brick oven pizza's I've ever had. Their toppings are fresh and authentic to what you really look for in great food.

LOUD, UNCOMFORTABLE AND GREASY by sixftrdhd via Citysearch on 6/8/2008

The dirty dish station is in the main restaurant room and the bus boys just throw the dishes there so every few minutes there is the loud crashing sound throughtout the room - worse if you're seated right next it. The coffee was burnt,…

yum! by istara via Citysearch on 12/12/2007

Love the food. really simple food done right. eating here is not a major commitment but a good, quick meal. Love their ensalada mista, pizza, even the meatballs are tender. Bravo!

Good pizza, good salad, near bloomies by akajt98 via Citysearch on 11/20/2006

If your shopping at Bloomies and need to stop for a quick bite, Patsy's is perfect. Grab a salad and split a pizza. Quick service and good food.

Mmmm! So yummy! by HPQ S. via Judy's Book on 5/30/2006

Patsy's is delicious! I love their fresh crispy thin crusted pizza so much. The problem is that this location is directly across the street from California Pizza Kitchen, so after a Bloomingdales outing (next door), and you get hungry, you…

Good for dining with family or friends by Racheline M. via Judy's Book on 5/21/2006

Patsy's is great. While it's not New York pizza by the slice, what it is is great pizza that's actually real food. This is a good casual dining option with friends or family (although you can often expect to wait for a table), the the…

Top-notched, thin-crusted wonders. by Angela L. via Judy's Book on 5/21/2006

For wonderful thin-crusted 'old-world styled' pizzas, Patsy's Pizzeria does not fail. Their pizzas are simple, yet oozes of wonderful flavors made of fresh, basic ingredients (plum tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil). The crusts are…

Great Place for Pizza! by jessebenner via Citysearch on 9/14/2005

My wife and I wound up here on our way to Serendipity as well, but didn't want to wait for 2 hours, so we just ate here. It was the best pizza we had during our stay in New York! Great service, and we even got to enjoy the evening at…

Best Pizza in NYC by Marlene M via Insider Pages on 7/10/2005

This pizza is well worth the ride. The pizzaria uses a coal fired oven to cook its incredibly thin sliced pizza. It's located in a not so great area of Harlem, but don't worry no one will bother you when you are on your way to get this…

Great find! by xyboo via Citysearch on 1/11/2005

Deciding not to wait an hour for Serendipity, my boyfriend and I decided to check this place out. The pizza was delicious- probably the best I've ever had. If you've still got room for desert be sure to have their cannoli's, they were to…

Great Hole in the Wall by rhurley1218 via Citysearch on 12/6/2004

Incredible! Not your typical New York Pizza but not something you'll find anywhere else. Great if you are going to Serendipity for desert. The pizza was great and came our of the oven very quickly.
