About this business

Anand and Doris Saha, the creators of Mozart’s, met in Switzerland in 1989. Anand studied Hotel Management while Doris completed her training as a professional pastry Chef. When the opportunity to move to Columbus, Ohio arose in 1995, the couple risked everything they had to open their own bakery and make Columbus their home. After struggling for the first few months, they soon found themselves the creators of perhaps the best pastry shop in the city. With the generous support of the Columbus community, Mozart’s has grown famous for authentic European foods and an atmosphere that could not be found anywhere else.

Mozart?s really impressed me at the Dine Originals Event this past Thursday. There was a lot of great food there from other good restaurants, like Barcelona. But Mozart?s pastries all looked fantastic. My favorite was the coconut…

Wonderful place for afternoon tea! by Tea Loving Jeanne via Citysearch on 7/5/2010

My daughter took me to Mozart's for tea when I was visiting her. I've been many, many places for tea and this beats them all. The food was wonderful, the service attentive, and the ambiance perfect---we even had a pianist to listen to…

I'm always looking for new restaurants to try and was extremely happy to find Mozarts! I came in for dinner last week and tried the veal weiner schnitzel. It was absolutely fantastic! The meat was really tender and perfectly cooked. …

Best pastries in town by jill83 via Citysearch on 10/29/2009

Mozart's is one of my favorite cafes in Clintonville. It has a great atmosphere, with all of the ambiance of a European cafe. A pianist is there almost every day during lunch and dinner, which adds a unique romantic touch. They have a…

Breakfast Is Where It's At! by chadsowald via Citysearch on 10/22/2009

My wife and I visited Mozart's at least 20 to 30 times over the several years we both went to Ohio State. By the 10th time or so we had figured out what was worth coming for and what to stay away from as many other reviewers have noted…

i dont reccomend it... poor service.. average food quality.. by Ionicbond25 via Citysearch on 2/14/2009

I have gotten dessert here before in the past and they have been ok. not up to par with what they charge and often not as fresh as they should be.Though I might be biased as my Oma (grandma) was a pastry chef so I am used to a certain…

Simply The Best by lauren55 via Citysearch on 12/30/2008

Mozart's is so great - the food was delicious and the atmosphere really took me back to a Viennese cafe. I am from Vienna, and this place was a great experience, excellent food, very typical viennese dishes and great atmosphere. Service…

Not impressed either by Aminah U via Insider Pages on 12/14/2008

This place was way overpriced and the deserts were not even good. I bought 1 piece of cake, 1 cookie and 1 danish and it came out to over $7.00! Complete ripoff because the cake was dry and bland. I dont recommend this place at all!

Overpriced by Joshua C via Insider Pages on 12/8/2008

I was not impressed by the pompous menu and waitstaff. The food was overinflated as well as the prices. Pastries dont need to be grand works of art.

European ambiance by jmc2000 via Citysearch on 10/18/2008

I recently moved to Columbus to teach at OSU after living in Europe for many years. Mozart's has managed to capture the authentic ambiance of a European cafe. The staff is very freindly, as well as the owner who I have met on several…

Great date...easy on the wallet by Sarah G. via Judy's Book on 8/7/2005

Mozart's is such a classy place. They offer European pastries and fresh coffee. Although they don't have as many "foo-foo" drinks as Starbucks, they do offer great coffee, and you can add a shot of whatever flavor you'd like. It's also…
