The old-time bank lobby has been turned into one of the best-looking restaurants in Columbus and, since it's less than a block from the Capitol, it proves a favorite haunt for politicians and their lobbyists. Competing head-on with… Read Full Editorial
Awesome by Steve F via Insider Pages on 5/23/2010
I just went to Mitchell's Steak House for the first time and I loved it. This is one of my favorite places to eat now. You have to try the Bacon Wrapped Filet awesome.
RE: BEYOND EXCELLENT!!! by Codfish via Citysearch on 5/1/2010
I called around noon to see if it was possible to get reservations for around 8pm. The gentlemen who answered the phone, Pete, was most helpful and was the very person to greet us soon as we entered the building. I have to say, this…
Upscale steak house by Cynthia E via Insider Pages on 7/12/2009
Mitchell's Steak House is right downtown. When I go to Columbus for business meetings this is a favorite place to go. Very good food and very professional wait staff.
Awesome food & great service by eah73 via Citysearch on 10/4/2008
My husband and I recently went to Mitchell's to celebrate our first anniversary...we ended up being very happy that we did. We both ordered steak (he got a N.Y. strip, I got the filet) and we thought it was outstanding! My husband even…
A "Prime" example... by mark_cin via Citysearch on 7/5/2007
Well, after the Wall Street journal caught Mitchell's using the term "Prime" in only the dictionary sense of the word...... yes that was the lame excuse they used, I should have known better. The mushroom appetizer and the Crab Cake entree…
Beautiful atmosphere and good service by ainslie via Citysearch on 11/19/2006
This is a once in a while, special event restaurant. Service was very good. The food is over rated. I have eaten in some great steak houses and Mitchell's is average. Price value is poor.
Absolutely wonderful. by tsunamigrande via Citysearch on 11/9/2006
My wife and I loved everything about this restaurant. The steaks were cooked EXACTLY like we ordered them. Their porterhouse is extremely tasty and tender. I ordered the Filet Oscar and it was wonderful. Their lobster bisque is some of…
Highly Over Rated by itsmeneene via Citysearch on 1/14/2006
If you enjoy spending money foolishly to make yourself feel rich and important, this is the place to do it! We were terribly disappointed in our meal. I have had much better filets, their mashed potatoes were nothing special and the…
Excellent food, great atmosphere, great dining space by Amy S. via Judy's Book on 8/19/2005
My husband and I have been going to Mitchell's for our anniversary every year. It is a great place to celebrate a special occassion. The steak is great. The side dishes are all a la carte, and are big enough to feed 2 people. The…
Not worth the money by lilcat19 via Citysearch on 6/26/2005
Went there with the family. Not one of us was pleased. My filet mignon was burned, as was my brother's steak, and he ordered his medium. Our bill was way over $200, and not one of us liked our meal. Definitely not worth the money.
Perhaps the city's most beautiful dining venue, brought to us by Columbus' most ambitious restaurateur, Cameron Mitchell. by Contributor via Citysearch on 4/28/2004
The Scene
The curvy cocktail bar is all wood, glass and subtle lighting, and velvet drapings swoosh down from an ornate ceiling about 20 feet high. Original oil paintings with big art deco images provide some levity to contrast…

Excellent steakhouse with clubby decor. Filet melts in the mouth.
Cameron's first and best by decilliana via Citysearch on 11/24/2002
I went to Mitchell's for an anniversary dinner, and I loved it. The steaks were fabulous, and the sauce was the best I have ever tasted. Yes, the restaraunt is over-priced (~$90 for a full meal for two), but all of Cameron's restaurants…
A Great Evening Out by carpediem2002 via Citysearch on 9/5/2002
Nothing beats Mitchell's Steakhouse for a great night out. The food is spectacular, and the service is so personable. The interior of the restaurant is incredible - it has to be the most beautiful restaurant in the city.

A very enjoyable evening even it your not there with your best friend. Outstanding quality and service delivery. You feel as if you are the only person that matters. Special attention and service seems to be the norm.

best steak in the best dining room by nataliemoore via Citysearch on 8/8/2002
Truly the best steak I've tasted in Columbus! Melt-in-your-mouth filet is to die for! My brother-in-law & his fiance were in town from Europe & we wanted to treat them to a great dinner. They were both more than impressed with not only…
Excellent Uptown Restaurant by glorfindel30 via Citysearch on 7/29/2002
My wife and I went for our anniversary recently. I was very impressed. The decor was very interesting and set an excellent mood. Our server was very familar with the menu and with the wine list. One of the best traits of a good server…
