About Dr. Butler
James Butler, DMD, is an implant and general dentist at Innovative Dental Ideas. He is the founder and president of his practice located in Hilliard, Ohio.
Dr. Butler earned his dental degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington, Kentucky, graduating in 1982 with top honors in orthodontics, periodontics, and clinical dentistry. He finished a three-year residency program at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, in 1985, where he trained in dental implants and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Butler is a graduate of The Business School for Dentists at The Schuster Center, and he received the National Emissary Leadership Award in 1995. He’s an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the World Clinical Laser Institute. He’s also a founding member of the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants.
At Innovative Dental Ideas, Dr. Butler is a leading authority on modern, non-invasive, and cost-effective mini implant systems. He’s spent two decades in private practice developing an unmatched expertise in multiple implant systems, which has made him one of Ohio’s most in-demand dentists for dental implants and extreme dental makeovers.
In 2006, Dr. Butler founded Innovative Dental Implants Laboratory, LLC with the goal of furthering his efforts in research, consulting, teaching, and charity work. He’s certified to train other dentists in best uses of mini implants, and espouses the following treatment philosophy:
