Spartanburg Water works to achieve its mission ? to provide quality water and wastewater services to our region in a reliable manner. We are comprised of two separate entities ? Spartanburg Water System (SWS) and the Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District (SSSD) ? all housed and operating under the umbrella of Spartanburg Water. Our team of more than 300 employees ? along with our board of commissioners ? works daily to uphold our mission: To provide quality water and wastewater services to our region in a reliable manner. Spartanburg Water supports the Deterra drug disposal system to help our community properly dispose of their unused and expired medications.
