In mid-1927, First State Bank of Sulphur Springs was closed for insolvency. Two of its largest depositors, Charles Ashcroft and Jim Lindley, decided to reopen under a new name and new management, and on June 13, 1927, they re-chartered as Sulphur Springs State Bank. Still providing the same level of customer service, the bank's name changed to Alliance Bank in October 1996. Also that year, Alliance Bank established its online presence with www.alliancebank.com. Since its birth in 1927, Alliance Bank has seen changes in the dairy industry as well as its own banking industry and met them head on with new products and services. The bank has made a commitment to discover and meet the specific needs of the communities it serves and will continue to do so as time goes on.

Excellent small town bank with very friendly staff. They are very willing to help you and this is probably the most popular bank in town. Their Freedom Checking account is no cost checking and pays a nice interest up to 25K. I have been…

They are very rude. Very slow. When you cash a check they always want to give small bills instead of large bills. The bank is very plain inside. No chairs to sit down. The only place to sit down is in an office.Would not recommend.
