As a physician assistant, I help doctors perform life-saving surgeries for chest and heart diseases. Surgery can create stress and anxiety for patients and their families, and I want them to know I'm available to support them in challenging moments.

Listening to patients’ needs and concerns – and being present with them – is integral to my job. I always want to meet patients where they are and set realistic expectations for them and their loved ones.
