The Scene
Walls are painted in pastel shades, marble-topped tables are crammed elbow-to-elbow in the main room, and the bar sprouts clusters of three and four taps. Add a piano in the back, large windows and a dog-friendly policy… Read Full Editorial
Great local spot with above-average food by Lisa Kennelly via Citysearch on 1/14/2010
The problem with most bars within a 3 mile radius of UW is that they're infiltrated by college-age kids. Not Latona. It might be playing the UW hoops game on the tv, but it feels like a place for adults, with funky wooden barstools, cozy…
Nice neighborhood pub by Dan S via Insider Pages on 9/20/2008
This is a nice neighborhood pub in the green lake area. The beer selection great. the beer and food is very good. The atmosphere is nothing special and it can be a bit noisy.
Fun, cozy, neighborhood bar with good food and sometimes music by Lori S via Insider Pages on 9/18/2008
We've gone there a couple of times. The food and beer is consistently good. Good hang-out. One night there was a little band playing, which made it way too loud too talk. But, it was fun anyway.

Much better than your usual pub food and a great beer selection that changes daily. Sometimes they have...
They have a very 'glass half empty" attitude. Literally! by stephabulous via Citysearch on 6/26/2007
After living in several Seattle neighborhoods, I was looking forward to returning to my old digs on Latona. \r
Instead of hitting our usual hangout (Leny's), we opted for the more sophisticated (or so we thought) atmosphere of the Latona…
Very good pub experience by rookie_food_critic via Citysearch on 6/23/2007
We went to Latona Pub after a recommendation from a colleague and we weren't disappointed. For a pub, the food was very good. We ordered quesadillas which were quite interesting with mangoes in it, their humus plate is the best I have had…
Amazing Food by greeneyedgirl703 via Citysearch on 6/13/2007
The absolute best food I've ever had in a pub. Inside, it's quaint, has nice dim lighting, cozy tables, and a friendly staff to grett you. Great beer, from a variety of different places, and a nice selection of wine. I had a salad and…
Yummy and Easy by ccavette via Citysearch on 11/3/2006
This place is great for an easy-going dinner at pretty cheap prices. It's not your regular pub food, there's not a fried item anywhere on the menu. The tacos (shrimp and pork) are to die for and the burgers served on Ciabatta buns are…
Great neighborhood pub by mmuller004 via Citysearch on 10/25/2006
Since I live nearby, I drop by on a semi-regular basis. Though the tomato-basil soup is a little too tangy for my taste (and seems to be the soup du jour every time I go there), I can't say I've ever had a bad meal there. Great…
More to the Latona Pub than meets the eye by Cathy C. via Judy's Book on 3/11/2006
For years the Latona Pub has offered the Green Lake neighborhood a great selection of quality beers. You used to be able to bring in your own gallon size container and fill it up to go. I understand that new state regulations are…
Good, Fresh Pub Fare by Erin F. via Judy's Book on 3/3/2006
I really enjoy going to Latona by Green Lake. The menu is a bit broader than standard pub fare including tacos (chicken, beef or pork), duck confit salad and beef pot pie. I especially like their greek plate with hummus, kalamata olives…
Just sorta okay by milolutz via Citysearch on 1/9/2006
This place has decent beer and food. It's in a good location, too. The service and selection can be a bit sketchy, though. Still, I'd recommend it.
Rediscovering an old favorite by leighdubois via Citysearch on 1/2/2006
I recently revisited this old haunt of mine from the days when I lived in the greenlake area...it's one of those places you hope will never change. When I walked through the door I could see the changes immediately: new paint job, new…
Duck in, duck out by Jeff B. via Judy's Book on 9/26/2005
The one thing I like about this place is that it's quiet. There can be 25 people in the place and you don't have to raise your voice in order to be heard. This is the kind of place where you go to catch up with an old friend. Fairly…
Chummy with the locals by Jeff R. via Judy's Book on 6/1/2004
This is a Green Lake staple. On the corner of 65th and Latona, this is a great little spot for a beverage of any caliber. Weekend nights get busy so it can be crowded, but overall it's a great little spot.
Hop Heaven by automated via Citysearch on 2/18/2003
This Latona epitomizes the small friendly neighborhood pub: great local beer (heavy on the hops), friendly atmosphere, and surprisingly good pub food (great specials). Close to several other good bars and restaurants which makes for ideal…
