not the best location in town, same complex behind Big 5 and on a side street. Only reason went there was to watch friends bands play.

It was started by Mark and Butch (from the Balboa Saloon). Craig Wilson bought it from them in "86"?. It's changed some since "King Donut" passed away, but it's still the only REAL beach/ surf/ blue collar dive @ DOHO.

The Doheny Saloon is full of regulars, mostly middle-aged men. Occasionally will have fun younger bands, which brings an interesting mix of younger patrons and their parents.
