Bowin Funeral Home

Bowin Funeral Home was founded in 1885 by J.E. Yeamans and Charles N. Yeamans. Originally a hardware store, they added a mortuary in the early 1890s. In 1920, Glen O. Yeamans took over the funeral home from his father Charles. In 1946, Donne Gordon purchase the funeral home from the Yeamans family, and Yeamans Mortuary became Yeamans and Gordon Memorial Chapel. In 1973, Pritchard Grimm purchased the funeral home, which he owned until 1989. In 1989, Darrel and Rhonda Brenner purchased the funeral home, changing its name in 2001 to Brenner Funeral Home. In 2007, Dallas Bowin purchased the funeral home from the Brenners. On January 1, 2013, the name officially changed to Bowin Funeral Home.
