Charles Brown, MD

Dr. Andy Brown has been practicing medicine for over 30 years and joined Piedmont Healthcare in 2011. He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi, and completed his internship and residency at University of Mississippi Hospitals and Clinics (UMMC) in Jackson, Mississippi. He then went on to earn a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Brown joined the UMMC faculty in 1989 and was a Professor of Medicine when he left in 2011. During his tenure at UMMC, he was a member of a large academic primary care practice and taught many students and residents inpatient internal medicine. Dr. Brown is best known for his exemplary bedside manner, detailed physical exams and genuine care and concern for each and every patient under his care. He is excited about participating in a new Piedmont program where he can provide individualized care for each of his patients. In his spare time, Dr. Brown enjoys working in his yard, traveling, reading, exercising, and spending time with family.
