Motekaitis Music Studio

Pianist MANIGIRDAS MOTEKAITIS, is active in the Chicago area.
Among his teachers were Miss Behring, Vladas Jakubenas, Alexander Kuciunas, Alexander Tcherepnin, Rudolph Ganz, and Thaddeus Kozuch.
Mr. Motekaitis has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance from De Paul University School of Music. He has appeared as recitalist, accompanist, in ensemble, and as soloist with symphony orchestras.
He is a member of the Oakton (Community College) Six Piano Ensemble, collaborates with the Oakton String Ensemble and the Oakton Chorus. He has received a $1000 award for achievement in music from the American Lithuanian Community’s Cultural Section. He is a past president of the Chicago Area Music Teachers Association, and he has been teaching piano in his studio and other schools since 1963.
