The practice of the Dodd Law Firm has been primarily that of insurance defense work with a heavy emphasis on litigation. Over the past thirty (30) years, William F. Dodd has been general counsel for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office and East Feliciana Sheriff's Office. He not only handles daily legal matter for the offices, but is responsible for defending various types of lawsuits, including, but not limited to, all 1983 civil rights types of actions (excessive force, wrong death and prisoner claims). Also, all types of EEOC claims, including discrimination by race, sex and/or gender issues, have been defended by this firm.
