I started teaching at 16 when my High School Band director told me that he thought I'd be a good piano teacher for his young daughter. He told me that I'd figure it out, and put his trust in me from there. I've been teaching for over a decade now , ages 7-80. I use method books for those who want to go that route, and a less traditional route for older beginners , the extremely gifted, and my actors and singers.
I've played all around the United States as an accompanist for Musical Theatre type shows. With pop artists in Los Angeles, and largely in the Musical Theatre world in NYC. I've also been known to be in jazz spots on both coasts.
My goal is for you to have fun while learning piano. I specialize lessons for each individual since we all learn a bit differently. We learn the basics of piano and music and really dive into the style of your choice.
