SO WHAT IS BOUDOIR?


This is a great question! In a nutshell, boudoir is genre of photography focused on empowering women (and sometimes men and/or couples)! Society is often focused on sizes and numbers, but boudoir allows women to focus on and celebrate the beautiful person they are--just as they are!



Women book boudoir sessions for a variety of reasons! But mainly it's to reconnect with their sexual, sensual identities. Growing up, women are bombarded with messages about what it means to be beautiful. We are taught to feel guilty about exploring our sexuality, eating a second (and sometimes a first) helping, or wearing what we want to the pool because of how we look.



To hell with that.



It's time we reclaim our identities. To take the fragments that we've created unconsciously and intentionally put ourselves back together. Only then will we be able to accept ourselves and create space for deeper connections with those we love as well.
