Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

What-a-waste: Whatawaste of my money and lunch time. I will drive now 2 miles to the next Whataburger. How can you serve brown lettuce in a salad and dried out meat in a burger? Dairy Queen down the street has fresher ingredients.

This is a wonderful fast food place when you are on the go.

I like Whataburger too, but let's not get carried away. I also like McDonalds and Jack in the Box, but I'm not going to include them among San Antonio's "best". Whataburger, like all other chains, serves average food at an average price.

This place is a disgrace to burgers everywhere ! no fastfood burger joint can be considered to have good food, it's just fast and edible, bearly!

FANTASTIC FRESH BURGERS! by whitedove47 via Citysearch on 8/27/2002

They have the freshest burgers with any topping on them and the toppings are fresh also. The people that work for the company are nice and friendly. Big change from the soy burgers that I was used to.
