Synchronize: share your calendar with coworkers to coordinate work schedules & see who is available to work or take your shift. Organize: create a different color coded schedule for each activity you have: personal, work, extracurricular, etc. Plan Ahead: add the “Tasks” option on your calendar to remember things to do & mark as you complete each task. Coordinate: use the “auto accept invitations that don’t conflict” to easily plan things that don’t conflict with others. Tips from July 14, 2009 The Small Business tips today are about small businesses using Gmail: a free, easy, and efficient email solution. Email Search: type in even a vague idea of what you’re looking for in the search bar & Gmail will find it for you. Organize: labels (like folders) allow you to mark and filter different emails of your choosing. You can also skip the inbox & send directly to a folder. Multiple Accounts: in “Settings” under “Accounts” manage multiple email addresses (not just gmail) all from one inbox. Storage: archive emails instead of deleting, then just find them in a search. Stores over 7GB (& counting!) worth of information. Daily Overview: Gmail features enable for organization, ease, safety & storage, all for free!

Small Biz Tip: Organize Your Finances

Tips from July 7, 2009 The Small Business tips today will be about organizing your finances. Keep your bills in one place to pay them on schedule and avoid unwanted late fees or worse, damaging your credit record. Consolidate accounts to one credit card if you have outstanding balances. Check balance transfer rats & one time fees. Use a software program. Quicken makes bill paying and reconciliation easy. ABC members receive discounts on the software. When saving receipts, save them in order of your purchases. When the statement comes, it will be easy to go over. Daily Overview: Avoid errors with your finances by organizing. You will also save time and money!
